rite then after blowing a big hole in my old 1.2i engine i decided to fit a 1.2i engine?insurance purposes.

so got everything done all conected sounds sweet ....when its stood still

now i got a feelin that the seal between manifold and exhaust is screwed cos shees blowin worse than my ex.

but theres no go i put my foot down and she dunt pull rite is this to do wi theexhaust?

the temperature needle also bounces round like a dont no what until the engine finds a place were its happy at in the revs then it settles down!!!!!

now the gear box seems diffrent so i think iv put it back slightly wrong cud this have anything to do with lack of pull aswell??

hope u guys can help this is first time iv done anything like this, thanx

rite then after blowing a big hole in my old 1.2i engine i decided to fit a 1.2i engine?insurance purposes.

A lot of people say that, but when i was getting a few insurance quotes i found that i could insure a 1400SR for ?35 more than i am paying for a 1.2i.
But i couldn't find a 1400SR for sale.

If the join between the exhaust manifold and head is blowing that will loose power, and is dangerous because of the gases coming inside the car.
Temp. guage sounds like a wiring problem, maybe a dodgy earth.

And whats the problem with the gearbox?
