alright lads how do i get my single wiper to park in the middle but i want it to sweep the whole screen? do u need to adjust the wiper motor?
just need to adjust the linkage
I dont think its legal to have it stop in the middle as it affects your vision, or maybe its an MOT thing.

u gotta adjust the linkage, trial and error really, and u will never get a perfect centre stop everytime, what i did was take the linkage off the motor phisically move the wiper to the middle then connect it back to the motor. its the linkage that causes the swing and u will struggle to get a full sweep without the linkage knocking on the bulk head. i gave up in the end and left it parked driver side for the MOT. im guesssing u r using a single wiper arm. try it... have a play. u got nowt to lose
when i had mine up the middle i thought it was right up the centre, but then every time i got in the car i noticed it actually wasnt, then when i tryed to straighten it up, i just couldnt get it centre for some reason.
it was always like a couple of cm's or an inch out and it was anoyying me so i just put it to the side.

you'll notice the wiper doesnt always stop at exactly the same position even when parking to the side
if u put wipers on when its dry it could stop 1-2" higher than if u turned it off with it pishing with rain
i had problems with my single wiper when i snapped mine and tried to streighten it again. u have to have the arm on the motor facing to the outside of the car.( aiming towards u if u are fixing it side on) and the wiper has to be lyin' over the drivers side as far as it will go before u connect them both together while they are still in this possision.that means the wiper is at full stretch and when turning it will wipe all the drivers side of the window. when working it probably wont wipe the whole of the passenger side( mine didnt) but as long as u wash ur windows regularly its ok. n aslong as the bolt connecting the wiper to the wiper arm is tight then it should return to the centre all the time. may take abit off fiddling but u will get there mate. good luck.
