As above, the downpipe on my 14SR has cracked at the flange which meets up with the centre section, I could weld it, but it's 15 years old anyway. Does anyone know where to get a new one as none of the local exhaust places can? Or should I get an Ashley/Janspeed manifold? (if I did, would the 1300 one be ok with the crappy 14nv head? as I have a 1300 head to go on later in the year)

zorst ports are the same shape, so it wont matter about the ashley manifold :)

Cheers Chunk. Doesn't any one make an aftermarket 4-2-1 Manfold? I spend most of my time between 2-4000rpm(short blasts across town), so would prefer a more torque-biased manifold to a balls-out bhp design.

Thanks for the offer Riggy, but it's niggled me so much this afternoon that I've made up a sleeve from 2" tube and welded it all up. While I was at it I nearly threw the back box away in favour of just having the 2" straight pipe!! But it would have been too noisy for the neighbours at 6:30 every morning!!!!

gonna get a proper manifold when the top-end gets rebuilt though, if I can find a 4-2-1

yeah those lexmaul prices hurt a bit dont they, they used to list a manifold for the C14NZ at ?300- like anyones gonna pay that for that poor excuse of an engine (and a poor excuse it really is-theres one sat on my drive attatched to a mk3 astra)
