Where is the plug that you put a code reader into on a corsa 1.6 16v? is it on the engine loom or the car loom? and what does it look like?

its a big ass D connector in the fuse box under the steeringwheel

dependant on the year you wont be able to paperclip test it as its all over CAN and EOBD protocols from the mid 90's

the thing is its not in a corsa, jst the engine and engine loom from a corsa

ahhhhhhh


then you need to get a diag plug and splice the connections in.

Ill find the pin out at work, ok it will be a ford one but the connector is global

i cut a diag plug outta a nova 1.2i and wired it into the brown/white and brown/yellow on the loom

never actaully attached anything to it tho

and i dunno if it will work on later engines whichare supposed to ahve 16pin diag plugs

I was looking at the wiring diagram in hyanes manual and it show the diag pug to be a 2 wire plug that right? ill try and post a pic 2 morro of what i have and it mite help wiv the 1.6 16v wiring post i put up. thanks again guys.

the 1.2i plug has brown/white, brown/yellow, red (ie live) and brown (ie ground)

any idea on the age of the engine/ecu?

Sorry i don't, all i know is that its and ecotec x16xe.

Cheers Joff, hows the nova coming on? Has she got paint on her yet? If so whats it like, havent spoken to them for a while.
