changing cluster

I want to change the cluster on a F10 box. Ihave had a quick read of Stuarts guide but I just have a few questions.

Can the cluster be removed without removing the diff?

if so I think its a case of removing the gearbox endcover, pulling out the old cluster, change pinion, put in the new one in and then fix the cover back top up with oil? This sounds easy are there any gotchas I've missed?

yes. providing the final drive pinion is the same
