Im about to replace my old 2E3 carb with a DTML webber item. I need a few things clearing up first though.

The Pierburg is auto choke so are there any leads/pipes that will need to be removed aswell? (im not sure about whats involved with the autochoke unit itself)

Secondly, is it just a straight swap more or less? I mean will all the pipes etc just transfer over?

Cheers
Sam

No it isn't a straight swap really.
The weber has no fuel return, so you need a fuel pressure regulator IIRC.
You need a inlet manifold adaptor for it.
You will also need connect up the manual choke cable control

The autochoke uses coolant temperature, so has coolant pipes attached to it.

I ain't 100% what you have to do with them tho.

join them the two pipes going into autochoke on the 2e3 together.

you need a t-piece for the fuel / return

remove the autochoke water hoses and either join them together or tidy it up by fitting 1.2 carb hoses

anyone know where i can get a choke cable, apart from scrappy.

maybe parkers or vauxhall will do them. Also did any nova's come with manual choke coz if so i could get one off them

The choke cable from the 1.2 will do the job, the one weber supply needs around a foot cutting off, at least it did on mine. I have a set of fitting instructions lying around somewhere, if I can get the old mans scanner working I could e-mail them to you.

My dad bought me a universal one so ill see how that goes, if not ill pop down the scrappy

You need an adaptor plate to fit the weber to a nova inlet IIRC.
The carb won't go straight onto the inlet.

I dont have the bolts to fit the adapter plate to the mandifold/carb. Can any one tell me the size of the bolts required please or are they best ordered from somewhere like webcon?

Mad - diver, what air filter are you using?
