Hi,

As many of you know My engine was built by JRE - John Read Racing engines. A few of you have asked me for contact details for him, well today his website was launched:

www.jreracingengines.com

It's only a basic web site as he is an engine builder not a computer whizzo!!

But, check out the two photos of My Nova on his site 8) 8)

Nice pics of your car. Will keep that site in mind. And the simplier the site the easier it is to use.

That sounds a tad unbelievable, i didnt think that sort of power was achieveable from the 1.4 baby XE? I'm open to be proven wrong tho!

lol id expect that kinda post from someone else keith ;)

If you rev it the power will come. notice it has naff all torque. so the power comes from silly revs

That 1400 revs to 10,500rpm :o

On the dyno John actually had it up to 11,250 :o :o

It is a one off, the crank alone was over ?2,000:00p and was made in the U.S.A.

It lives in a Nova by the way  and yes it flies :o :o

yeah i saw the nova when JRE used to be carberation and injection,

allways heard good things about these engines (as well as bad but unfortunately you will get that with any engine builder, mechanical failures can and will happen no matter how good a builder you are)

id love a 2.4 xe, bet that flies. would have to be in something like austin 16vs rwd nova tho

That monster 2.4 is actually in a hillclimb westfield or it mightr be a caterham, not sure. All look the same to Me

The screaming 1400 is in a friends Nova Rally car who lives about 6 or 7 miles from Me. It's new for this year and thankfully he does different events to me
