Do I need the same policy with the same company for one year before I get 1 years NCB? The reason I ask is because I'm currently with Sainsburys who say they won't insure me for suspension modifications.
Would I go back to starting with 0NCB if I swapped companies and then have to stay with them for one year before gaining 1 years NCB?
I'm not entirely sure how the NCB system works :P
Yep, you'd lose whatever NCB you're working towards.
You can't swap over to another company - for example if you're 10 months into your first year of driving you can't swap to another company for two months and end up with one years NCB. You have to cancel your current policy and start again with a new company.
When I bought the GT-Four I had to cancel my Nova policy with HIC (I was 4 months into my 6th year of driving) and setup new with Admiral - so I therefore effectively "lost" those 4 months worth of NCB.

True What jack said is totally right
Looks like I'll do the most sensible thing in the long run by driving a standard Nova for another 6 months and grab myself 1 years NCB. Cheers for the help.
