I have a 1.2 nova which had standard brakes until i replaced the front calipers and discs on it with caviler 2.0 brakes, i only changed the discs and calipers.

And we cant get a brake on it, we had thought it was the master cyclinder but we have changed it twice but still no difference we have bled it loads of times. The pedel just keeps going to the floor with no resistance at all.

Has any1 had any trouble like this before, any1 know what i can do

Cheers
Gary

go & buy a pressure bleed kit, they can be sods to bleed. for future reference, get a brake hose clamp as well.
Are you using a astra/cav. master cylinder, because the std nova one is too small to be effective with big piston calipers..

am using the standard nova master cyclinder, but my brother had the brakes on his nova and he didnt have to change the master cyclinder to an astra/cav, i really dont no what the problem is

i take it you changed pads aswell.

Try bleeding them again.

As snoface said and are they the correct pads?

Sounds like youve got air in the system.

nova MC is fine for 2.0 calipers

my guess is the calipers are upside down

bleed nipples need to be at the top

and also invest in a pressure bleeder and bleed all 4 corners not just the fronts

pumping the pedal to bleed the system can kill old cylinders quite easily
