HERE FOR SALE I HAVE THE PLEASURE TO OFFER MY OWN

1999/ T REG FORD MONDEO ST200 V6 on a cherished plated worth over ?350.00 (will be sold with this plate)
With ?Sensible? & Quality Performance Enhancements (218HP Estimated) Plenty of additional money has been spent on this very individual and rare model.
Details of how this rare and under stated car started out and a history overview is mentioned below to further your basic knowledge of this car.

BRENTWOOD, 7 October, 1998 -- Ford is capitalising on its Ford Mondeo Racing British Touring Car Championship programme with the introduction of the new high-performance Ford Mondeo ST-200, which will be showcased on the Ford stand (Hall 4, Stand 426) at the British International Motor Show, October 24 to November 1, 1998. With an output of 200PS from the reworked 2.5-litre 24V Duratec engine, this latest derivative further exploits the inherent qualities of the Ford Mondeo's high-tech all-aluminium V6 engine and advanced chassis.
The Ford Mondeo ST-200 features
2.5-litre 24V Duratec engine uprated to 205PS Tuned cylinder heads, camshafts, intake manifolds, inlet and exhaust system 5-speed MTX gearbox & ?RSAP? (Rally Sport Appearance Package) styling. Tuned sports suspension and steering Unique 17x 7inch alloy wheels and 215/45ZR17 tyres Half-leather Recaro Sports seats Front and side airbags Available in four colours On sale from early 1999
The package borrows purposeful styling cues from the 1998 BTCC programme and luxury equipment from the top of the Ford Mondeo range to produce an affordable and practical grand touring sports saloon designed to appeal to the driving enthusiast.
The launch of the Ford Mondeo ST-24 in 1997 has been an overwhelming success, explained Andrea Formica, Director of Marketing. Customer research has revealed a requirement for a more powerful hybrid Ford Mondeo with an even greater BTCC influence and ST-24's excellent chassis platform has allowed us to sympathetically tune it to handle even more power, he concluded.
Available in five-door hatchback or estate format, the ST-200 wears the ST-24 body styling package with distinctive front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear spoiler and unique bright grille mesh. The only difference for the ST-200 is to the rear bumper design, which is remodeled for the individual exhaust tailpipes. Unique 17x7inch, 14 spoke alloy wheels and ultra low profile 215/45ZR17 tyres complete the exterior changes.
Significant engine developments
The Duratec VE engine in the ST-200 is based around the same 170PS engine found in the ST-24 but is honed to develop an additional 30PS. It retains the aluminium alloy cylinder block fitted with aluminium alloy multi-valve twin-cam heads and the variable-length inlet tracts that combine high efficiency engine breathing at speed with strong low-speed torque and low emissions levels.
However, in the ST-200 application, it differs largely through further advancements in engine breathing. Firstly, a new type of air cleaner assembly is fitted. The new assembly has a unique dual inlet to increase flow as well as keep the engine within the legal noise requirements. The air cleaner sits ahead of a mass-air sensor, which measures the density of air and feeds this information to the electronic engine control computer EEC-V. The air then moves further downstream to the throttle body, which is increased in size for ST-200, before the higher airflow reaches the unique 'extrude honed' intake manifold assembly.
The second significant modification for Mondeo ST-200 is it?s extrude honed primary and secondary intake ports in the cylinder heads. Extrude honing is an aerospace technology that first gained favour in the automotive world amongst high-performance engine tuners. The process involves squeezing a putty-like material containing fine grit through the ports or runners that channel air. The grit polishes the surface to a high degree, allowing air to move quicker and more efficiently.
The third engine change involves the adoption of revised intake and exhaust camshafts to take advantage of the improved breathing characteristics. These camshafts are hollow to save weight and the cam lobes use a high chromium content to virtually eliminate wear under normal driving.
Finally, the fourth engine change includes a twin tailpipe, low back-pressure exhaust system.
Combined, the result of these changes allow the engine to deliver significantly more power at slightly higher rpm - 200PS at 6500rpm and 170lbs ft torque at 5500rpm for the ST-200, compared to 170PS at 6250rpm and 162lb ft torque at 4250rpm for the ST-24.
Chassis engineering
The extra performance is fed through a revised chassis incorporating a number of suspension and steering changes. Overall suspension geometry settings as well as bushing, springs and dampers are changed. New dampers incorporate larger pistons to improve the ride quality in response to the ultra low profile wheel and tyre fitment. All of the suspension tuning and the design and compound of the 17 inch diameter tyres have been tailored specifically to British roads. Steering response is improved to increase sensitivity.
Braking is accomplished via the standard ST-24 system comprising 10.9 inch diameter ventilated front discs and 9.9 inch rears.
Interior equipment
The sporting flavour continues throughout the black trimmed interior of ST-200 and is evident as soon as the driver takes the wheel. A perforated leather-rimmed steering wheel flanks the revised dark blue instrument cluster and 160mph speedometer swept by white pointers.
Supportive half-leather trimmed Recaro sports seats in black with Match fabric inserts are fitted at the front (with matching half-leather rear bench) and the competition theme continues with circle-check? carbon-look interior panels for the instrument surround, door pulls and gear knob. Contrasting stainless steel ST-200 sill kick plates and ST-200 logoed carpet mats complete the sports interior specification.
To ensure a high degree of luxury, the interior specification of the Mondeo ST-200 includes all the appointments of the ST-24, including drivers' airbag, CFC-free air-conditioning, 5000 series RDS/EON audio with remote steering column control and six-CD auto-changer, power drivers seat height adjustment, power rear windows, central locking and a comprehensive remote Ford alarm and immobilizer system.

So you get the idea that the car has been ?sensibly? modified with quality components with a few subtle changes to the cars aesthetics with all OEM equipment available apart from the WHEELS and EXHAUST
I think that has covered must areas of my much cherished ST200 and to add to that the car has also got a FULL SERVICE history with the majority of these carried our at a FORD Main Dealers. I bought the car in September 2004 and have covered a completely trouble free 17000 miles with 90% of these miles carried out whilst I am on business for my Employer on the motorways M4,M11,M23,M25. My Car has been FULLY EXPENSED from my Company apart from a few items listed above which I have paid for myself. All Servicing and replacement OEM items have been paid for by my Employer and that also include the ?Shell Optimax? fuel the car has run on since being in my ownership. The Car has had a total of ?3? oil services each time with
MOBIL 1 15W/50 Motorsport Oil with the correct Ford Filters and Sparking Plugs fitted (twice) last done at 91000 miles
The Car is NOW approaching 93000 Miles and I guess most of you reading this will think wow that is a tremendous amount of miles for a vehicle that is barely SIX years old.
I guess to some this will seem high but really it is only average miles for its age and yet looking at the car overall and driving it you would think it has covered less than half of the miles shown on the gauge. The fact is that if you look after servicing of vehicles and use the best lubricants there is usually minimal internal wear on modern engines and my guess is with my ST200 breathing properly and regularly returning 32-33 MPG the cars life could easily be extended to 175 ? 180,000 miles before any internals will start showing themselves (burning oil, smoky exhaust etc).
The only other modification that would complete this vehicle would be a ?UNICHIP? finished off with a rolling road for live mapping to get the optimum settings for the cars current setup.
My ST200 goes really well better on a cold morning after allowing the temperature to enter the ?normal running? area on gauge but I believe can still suffer from a little heat soak on a really warm day like the ones we have been having most recently. I guess the cars 0-60 is slightly under 7 seconds on a really good day and I also guess that the cars top speed if really pushed would exceed 148 MPH and would probably go all the way to the 6750 RPM limiter not that I have tried.
The Original Ford Clutch, Gearbox & Head Gasket are still fitted which proves again that the car has been correctly used and maintained with the history that supports the vehicle.
So quite a good performance from a normally aspirated 2.5l 24V V6 when you compare it against a similar Vauxhall, Volkswagen, or even BMW you get a really good overall performance for your money with the ST200 and I am only selling due to a change due to a vehicle upgrade and the fact that after a while normally six months I fancy a change?.. I have owned this car for nearly 10 months which is a long time for me to own a motor vehicle.
The Car is completely HPI free and I am the registered keeper and ***THIRD*** owner from new.
Any inspection or trial is welcomed from the ?Oranges or Lemons? (RAC / AA) or any other independent that you may want to bring along for a good look. I have a trolley jack and axle stands for anyone wanting to have a further underside inspection and I have nothing to hide with this car and won?t be a money pit for the next ?lucky? owner.
There are a couple of very innocent stone chips mainly to front of the bonnet with most if these being touched back in with a paint pen (included in sale). Other than that there is hardly a mark on the exterior body and NO supermarket DINGS/DENTS or anything to cause anyone concern. Best to come and have a look for yourself there is NO CORROSION on this vehicle at all and the car has been frequently pressure washed underneath to ensure it stays this way.

I am not going to give this car away even though it is an early model it has been very well cared for and won?t be sold as an average car for ?4000.00 SO NO REAL BARGAIN HUNTERS NEED APPLY!!

However I also realize that I need to sell the car now I have bought another vehicle and don?t want to be hanging on to this until Xmas 2008 if you get me drift. Now please bear in mind what has been spent on this car since my ownership and take into consideration that no work or servicing will be needed for another 8000 miles or so and then also consider that most items that can ?potentially? go wrong or fail costing additional expenditure have been replaced or ?upgraded?
This CAR really needs to be seen close up and personal to be appreciated for just how good it really is and they are NOT common. Mondeo?s are common but not the ST200 it was always a limited run and the only rarer MKII Model available is the limited addition SALOON run of ?300? with a slightly different dash surround, steering wheel and multi coloured leather interior.

Please email me for more information and photos. Viewing can be arranged by appointment but please remember that you will NOT be able to drive this car unless you can provide detailed Insurance Documentation and also have the means to buy this vehicle.
