Hey i have a Nova GSi and it feels no where near as quick as my last two but it pulls in the gears for a long time so i was wondering if it is possible to tell what gearbox it has from external inspection as i think it maybe a WR and if possible what am i looking for cheers

what revs u doing at 70mph in fifth? shud be about 4000 i think..
my sri does about 80 at 4k, its got an f10 in it

mine is an sr and it has an F10 CR revs at about just over 4 at 80 i think, worries me sometimes i think its gonna pop lol

nah i know it wont go bang lol, but it sounds like it sometimes, and though you need another gear 8)

there is a engine number changeover on c14se blocks where they changed to the larger 1600 flywheel
engines before that number will have the F10, after it they have the F13
the gearing is stamped on the end cap

u can see it next to the earth strap, it says W418
Yeah i was doing 3k rpm at 80mph yesterday so I am gonna investigate today
