Exhaust system for 2.0 16v.

Just put a red top in my nova, and it badly needs a better exhaust system, anybody know where to buy i decent one that is specially made to suit a 2.0 nova?

get a custom one made up, as you need a larger bore which you cant get off the shelf

ebay sometimes has special manifold to suit the XE engine in a nova, and you may be able to mate a system to that, other than that do what chris said

ashley systems are 2" which is fine for a standard XE

u really want 2.25 for a tuned one or a 2.5" for mega power

be careful who u use as some places (powerflow for instance) will use 2" pipework but their silencers are only 1 7/8" inside

2.5inch sounds good to me! needs to be done cause the stainless thats on it is for a 1.6 and it just aint having none of it. thought id finally got her back on the road. :(

well whats the spec?

if its a standard motor with an airfilter 2.5" is too large

i'd say a 2" system will be perfectly fine for a standard engine

2.25" for a mildly tuned one ie some cams or summat on standard efi

2.5" is for 200bhp+

c20xe with courtney power cap and air filter. was told when i brought the calibra the engine came out of that it was chipped but i dont know that myself! i dont thnk it is.

you want to try JP who i know have made several for the 2.0 Nova like Brett Warburtons cover car etc.
Had mine made by Blue Flame who make them for Mongoose in Wigan area.
Get good manifold if you planning mods like a BTB then get the system made to suit.
Not gonna be cheap but worth the effort.

SOLVED wasnt the exhaust thats fine! dizzy cap causing mis fire lol. shes running now!! what a buzz! ;) thanks guys. if wasnt for this site id of struggled. best get picture taking
