I've had a look in the good old haynesy and i think its a vacumm hose for the brake servo?

I just need to know what it is/does really.

Sorry about the size of the pic.. work has crap imaging programs.

i think you're right, it looks like the vacuum hose and i think it takes air from the inlet to your right foot when you want to brake

not sure how it works but i think thats what it does (some1 correct me if im wrong)

Yes it is the vacumm hose for the brake servo. I'm not 100% sure how it all works, but you know if you pump your brake pedal 3 times with the engine off then it goes hard? Well thats because the pressures built up in the inlet manifold i think.

that explains y sometimes my engine almost dies when i hit the brakes hard lol

basically the story goes like this... just had the car back from a guy who did the rear arches and front and rear panel......

I noticed that there was a new piece of hose sleeving the old one with hose clamps.

It wasnt on there when he had the car because the picture i posted above is mid way through the work.

Why would he have done this? Has he split the hose??

I just wanted to know the facts before i ring him.

perhaps he split it by accident so fixed it 4 u.
