Just another quick question which alot of people probably know the answer to...

If i were to buy a weber 32/34 that was from a 1300 sr, would it need re-jetting if i wanted to put it on my 1400 sr? also if i just put it on, would it not run aswell with the 1300 jets in?

cheers
sam

it would be ok to use the 1.3 jets tempory but you would need to get 1.4 jets to get the mixture right. If you have amodded your engine then you may need bigger jets still.

well upto now i only have full exhaust including 4 branch, K&N, which will be added to the dtml if i get it

i do intend to either have it re-jetted at some point, not straight away tho coz i dont have the money, or swap the heads over as i have a 1300 head

swapping heads won't change your capacity. (capacity = swept volume)

Swapping to a 1.3 head will be good though as the inlet ports are less restrictive and will free some power up. You would still need 1.4 jets.

ahh thats answered another question then, i wondered if my engine would still be a 1400 if i swapped heads over to 1.3

In the longrun i am going to have the head modded and fitted, o for now i just need 1.4 jets really

cheers man
