Wanting a pair of brand new wing mirrors and a grill for a good price.

Seen some on Sel-imperial but am a bit dubious about how well they will fit,and how well the plastic finish will match !

Anyone bought any of these items from Sel ?

lol ?18 a mirror!!!

WHY!

There parts are a very good quality but the bits you want are plastic and you can get a grill and mirrors second hand for pennies.

Just stick a wanted in the parts forum!

Sel will sell you the parts and you'll need to get them sprayed anyway (they come factory finish black) - so you may as well save some dosh and get 2nd hand and spray them yerself. Not that hard...

For patern parts theyr v good though...plastic - go 2nd hand.

well my local scrappy sells mirrors for about ?10 a pop, so for 8 quid more a new one is worth buying, plus they've never been back to blacked e.t.c

Thanks ade, that's all i wanted to know which wasn't too hard.

I was inclined to think they'd be a bit off when it comes to plastic mouldings like the mirrors and grill

for ?18 I;d expect an entire mirror unit including mountings etc.

Alternatively, if youre bases are okay, you could just get new covers from Vauxhall...They just clip on afterall.

Have a different colour to suit your mood

:D

you get the entire unit, glass mirror mechanism and internal lever. the only bit you don't get is the inside Cover plate - But obviously i have them allready

I don't think it's a bad price, Seen a few pairs of mirros on Ebay. GM plarts, so might bid on them instead.

nothing ever looks as good as something that's brand new

this is confusing, which mirrors are you colour coding, your old ones or the new ones, and why would you want to sets of mirrors :?

i want to colour code a set, but i'd rather have brand spanking new ones, or some pretty mint condition ones to colour code.

some of the mk1 mirrors were a different tone of plastic e.t.c and most of them have seen some Back to black in their life so it just makes things harder
