Anyone know how easy a speedo drive on the gearbox is to replace on an F13?
Thought I had a speedo cable gone until I took it off - it's fine.
Went a few yards with the cable and pulse generator disconnected and the speedo drive hadn't budged. That told me the drive is gone, and I undid the small bolt holding it onto the gearbox and tried manually to move it/take it out but it wasn't exactly eager to budge. Not knowing whether I'd knacker something in the gearbox I stopped and put the bolt back in.
I'm going to replace the drive once I have my hands on one, but how does it come out? A little persuasion with a screwdriver to prise it out? Anyone with a Haynes tell me?
