hey all how much does it cost to transfur my insurance to a new car cause if i get this novasaloon 2day im taking the 1.4 off the road to rebuild it :evil:

if i am not mistaken, if you get a new car, then the insurers just tell you what it will cost to insure that, and alter your premiums.

My mates dad did this and they didnt charge him for the service, just changed his details and payment costs etc

some companies charge an admin fee, some don't.

If you've paid for your insurance outright, you may be due a rebate (good luck in persuing that one then if you have the misfortune of being with HIC....). Saloons are usually cheaper to insure than hatches.

its called a COV or change of vehicle - just call them and theyll amend your recoprds and change youre car over to the new one.

You may pay more, you pay get a refund...

Also - if you dont sell your old car immediately, most insurers will allow you to keep your old car on as a temporary (known as TAV or temporary additional vehicle). Length of time though depends and its not that cheap - most will cover for about a month...
