Number plate light

I have some rather sexy little blocks of 3 blue leds and I'm thinking of mounting them to shine onto my number plate.

Obviously lighting your number plate with blue lights is illegal so should i have them on a seperate switch and retain the original number plate light?

For anyone who doesnt know I'm fitting a KC rear therefore I'll have to conjour up some way to mount the original light if i decide to keep it.

Opinions?

If its the bumper im thinking of just cut a little hole out in the underside bit of the bumper and use the original number plate light. Your car has already got a chav kit on it dont make it worse by adding stupid neons. :lol:

I had blue LED's illuminating my numberplate on my old BAT rear bumper. TBH they wont illuminate the plate at all, they just make two lovely blue spots on the floor!!! MK4 Escort numberplate lights are the way to go, theyre nice and small.
