Were you behind me on the way out at PV? If it wasn't you, there is someone with a very similar car.
It's a good example of a sleeper, which I'm guessing was your intentions?
Jim
did you buy this car from Bury, off EBAY???
lol get some photo's of the engine!

No I bought it a few years ago from a garage in oxford... I've never been to bury in my life! lol
I will take some pics of the engine bay as soon as I get a spare moment. TBH its the only tidy/looked after part of the car.

Proper sleeper. The spec sounds very impressive when i first saw it i thought it was going to be a standard engine shit suspension.
love sleeper's
welcome to the site mate

No it hasn't been cheep to say the least! Especially with 2 full rebuilds within the last 1500 miles! I recon I've spent a good 3500-4000 on it to get it looking this good! lol

i reconise that number plate. might be a digit out thou, cause a mate of mine had a White H reg SR, Plate was either H242CHY or H248CHY. tring to remember.
looks like a proper Rag waggon.
looks like a right weapon of mass destruction.
what times were you running down the 1/4 in it mark?
so has it got the weopan-engine fitted, or have you not fitted it yet????

wow - sooo didnt expect that - as ben sed, tis dead teasing with no engine pics, lol..
mongo, what wideband lambda sensor is it?
(btw it was me who pm'ed you on mig about mapping )
certainly is a sleeper :) liking that a lot, I also had a dog rough black SR just like that with duct tape holding the arches on and a red flexi aerial !
had a 1.6 on carbs in it that got revved to infinity until it threw a rod out the side! I sort of miss is too as it really looked bad,
Keep up the engine mods and stay away from the polish !
oh and you owe me a roll of insulation tape! from pod if u remember ;)

what times were you running down the 1/4 in it mark?
On the old spec 177bhp it ran a 14.2 in mid Feb
and on the new spec at PV it ran a 14.3!!! lol
The Quaife box is actually slowing me down at the moment, the management has not been mapped at all so I dont have enough low down torque to pull away quickly. A little like CP syndrome! lol Awsome spec engine which is fantastic on the track but just not enough torque from a standing start.

I think its a bosh one, I got the TB's off of Gary on MIG. Apparently its about ?160s worth. (MBE doesn't like running closed loop on cheap lambda sensors apparently). I shall probably take you up on the offer of the mapping. Hopefully get it 90-95% of the way there with you and do a little fine tuning on the rollers. :D

Thanks again for that, I was in a bit of a bind so to speak. That 1600 sounds like a reno 5 GTX I used to have. Clocks ran out at 7k needle stopped at 8k and the engine carried on reving! Bulletproof 100mph in 3rd anyone?
Yes buddie. IIRC Austin did a 13.9 on a very simmilar spec engine. I would have got more if I just spent some more on a decent set of tyres!
mmmmh, i think my 14.6 is going to drop slightly i think.

All cleaned up and ready to be shipped ;)
What sort of bhp is it running with the current spec?

i'm as excited as michael jackson is watching "home alone".
It has the 208 kit on it so your usually lucky to get 195-200 out of them, the QED cams are suposedly good for 210. So taking on board the propertys of the tapers and the fact that the 210 cams acehive their power without tapers its pritty much safe to say it'll be about 200 lol... I need to get an exhaust manifold (type c) sorted out and then i'd be well chuffed if I got 210-215.

Sweet! :+:
What sort of 1/4 mile time you aiming for?
Rob.
once mapped about 13.8 or so but its not being built to 1/4 it really. Got to find a new shell that'll get wide arched and full rally preped
