if you get a bass tube you can forget about any help from me :) lmao

let me guess your a wanna be bass monkey. rite 2X10" will be more than adequate.

any head unit that you like will be fine

lol at cambridge :P . wire wise get oxygen free stuff - you can buy wiring kits with all u need (halfords ?25). make sure u sound deaden your car - get that flashing tape stuff from b&q or dynamat from ice shops - line all boot area, panels, floor with it - this will help keep sound/vibrations in the car and so help make you deaf quicker. It also reduces the amount of noise outside the car (so people cant hear you coming before they see you).

Ok mr hazybluesr, u aint gettin ne help ere ru?
Basically u want a headunit that says something like 45x4 watts, 50x4 wats etc etc..... the bigger the number the more power the HU has.
Then u want an amp wiring kit, cost bout 35 quid got evrything u need 2 wire it up.
The amp should have less watts than the subs(or whatever else ur running). To run 2x10" subs you can do it 2 ways:-
(wire up amp first)
1. Use a 4 channel amp and BRIDGE the sub cables(u must bridge it or ul get treble coming out of the sub)bridge 1 sub to 1 chanel the other sub to the other channel
2. Use a 2 channel amp and bridge both subs off 1 channel, it wont sound as good as it could tho
*bridging is when u connect the positive to the right speaker, and the negative to the left speaker.
Think thats it Good luck m8............

If it has tits or wheels it'l giv u probs!:)

dont foprget flashing tape or dynamat - you'll need this to stop panels rattling all over the place! (and if u dont believe me read past posts!)

right since you are a total novice to this you should go to halfords or any other ice monkey shop and play with the headunits on display untill you find the one you want. pretty much all of em come with suitable outputs for amps these days and they are generally atleast 4x40W

Happy now???

doubt it but hey atleast i attempted to prevent you from making more "basic" posts.

ps read the forums for more advice

maybe we need an ICE article on the new site? ICE can be confusing - maybe a few ones for basic front and rear speakers, to amps, subs, cross overs and all that other tecky jargon. Would certainly help reduce Q's

(also novice to ice but getting there - slowly...)
