in the last couple years of making they changed the caliper on the 1.2spi, and when going to get pads i founf they where the same part number as the 1.4 pads

so is it true that i have the same calipers as the 1.4sri

and what are the disk diameters for the sri, gte and gsi

I've a 1200spi, one of the very last but i'm sure the brakes are different. Firstly, the SRi has vented discs...... sorry, just copped on there's an SRi parked beside my 1200. The calipers look almost identical but the SRi one is slightly different in that the vented disc is wider than the solid do the gap in the SRi one is wider to allow the wider disc in. Pads may be the same, its possible that thats the only difference.

all 1992 on novas have ate style calipers instead of the shitty delco ones

the disks will probably be the same tho and the pads will have changed from 1992 onwards

So they are the same caliper as the SRi ones, apart from the discs?

yer possiby the same caliper body but the carrier would have to be different to allow the wider disk to fit

id just like to conclude as to whether 2 litre ones will go on under 14 inch steelies like mine. some people say not and some people say yes

i have looked on the wheels and the are 5J x 14 and i wish to get 2 litre brakes. if they fit thats great as i wont have to change my wheels just yet

well cavvys have 5.5J steels and they fit under those

ive SEEN them under stndard 5j nova steels but ive also heard they only fit with worn disks and pads
