Saxo are s**t cars for the ageand money they are rubbish

And so are Novas. All of them. The genuinely all resemble sheds, not just because they are old, rusty and horrid looking - but because they do resemble a shed. Even the SRIs, GSIs, GTEs and various turbos are crap, because they go vroom vroom fast in a straight, but point one at a corner and you're in trouble.

I once had a Nova, fun it was. Ripped everything out of it, stuck in a C16XE and crashed it on a track (intentionally). Stripped the engine out and sold it for more than I paid, scrapped the rest.

I can compare it to what I like because at the end of the day the Civic was around then too, and that Civic was a 1993, only 2 years younger than the newest No-start.

At the end of lap I reversed it into a concrete block, then did a handbrake turn into the same said block, leaving the front intact so I could get my 200 quid engine back.

people need to chill out, yes a nova is reguarded as a skip/shed/boy racer mobile but not in everyones eyes, most of the people who join this website own one or somehow have an interest in them, also everyone WILL have an opinions that differ from another member - this is a fact of life!

yes the nova is over 10 years old and probably origanally designed over 20 years ago but it still has character in it's straight lines much as the civic is a few years newer and therefore styled differently to reflect the changing times of the automobile industry and customer wants/needs/and safety requirements.

(if anyone is still reading this far down!) there are the same differences with the engines newer technology is added in newer developed cars but to say honds engines are crap imo is a mistake as imo they produce some of the best engines that have been developed

Novas and XR3i's are among the origional boy racer cars, then came Civics, a newer generation of boy racers. Saxo's 306's and Corollas in the same generation.
Nova owners im like slagging off these cars, and i'll be the first to admit, i hate most of them, that said, they are mostly very good cars, but in a few years, Saxo, Civic etc owners'll be slagging off the next generation, ie new Civics, C2s and so on...
Its a simple fact of life and nothing is going to change anything, therefore every single opinion stated in this thread is correct.. It doesn't matter who says what, basicially its just rant, so to summerise, Each to their own and everyone is entitled to thier own opinion.

Right, just a point of notice, and totally in my opinion, Civics are ****e.

They're poorly made, light as tin and crumble far too easily and rust in places that no car should need to rust.

The interior trim is too cheap and loosens too easily and rattles like a head board in a cheap hotel.

The Engines are pretty ****, even the B16A Vtec is temprimental and often suffers from shell bearing problems and worn valve stem seals.

Lots of my friends had them and sold them on for different jap scrap.
