Good job done there mate, but if i see correct you still left the sound deadning on where the rear seats use to be?? if so just use a heat gun to remove it then clean of crap/sand and re paint it mate

Will make it lighter=faster..

well spotted scott lol, i've started on the sound dedening under the front seat, its a real pain in the arse to get off, and you've got to be careful of the fuel lines lol

Mate mine came off and out of the car in big lumps.just lightly heat it with an electric heat gun on low setting (got mine from B&Q for ?16)

you might find it easy to do small bits at a time though,it took me 2hrs in total to strip out the car and ditch the sound deadning.

just a quick update, i've removed the bumper iron from the front bumper, it is now secured from the sides and from bonnet pins from the front, it may not be to everyones taste but it works and its lighter, lol.
lol now you can see why i took the splitter off, look how close the gate stop is to the car

a close up shot of how i fixed the bonnet pin to the bumper brackets
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/6666666/fiberglasstailgate2035.jpg

i have also fully secured the fibre glass tailgate

i've got a bloke from the bodyshop at work having a look at the cars body work on saturday, then he's going to have the car trailered to work and its having the body work sorted :D

Quick anti-theft note for all those bonnet pins, lockwire the buggers up, harder to nick and some tracks may insist on it as extra security from them "accidentaly" coming loose and bumpers flying of at 90 mph!

Mike.
17-06-05, 06:57 PM
i should have kept the bumper under wraps

the bumpers still attached to the wings, and the pins are really tight, they've been ajusted to make the bumper fit right
