Unless you get speedlines, any other 16s will probably rub if you don't mod the arches.
Take a look at my post in styling

If you are goin to lower your car its better to have peace of mind that you've had the arches rolled. You want as close as possible to 49mm offset, but 45mm should be fine if you have your arches rolled. Anything outside this will cause your tyres to wear uneven and cause handling defects.

Dont forget though that you can have the offset machined to 49mm.

You just need to find someone that can do it, i dont think its too expensive. I had mine done but that was because the company i bought them from sent the wrong offset and couldnt get anymore so they machined them for free.

I run 16" ET45 wheels with 195/45 tyres and they don't rub even without the arches rolled.

ET45 is fine in 6.5J and actually gives a bit more clearance on the rear inner arches

As said, you need to stick as close to ET49 as possible. Theres a place local to me that can machine wheels down, about ?10-15 per wheel, but the maximum you can safely shave off is 5mm iirc

Yeah thats why i am going to have problems, my 16s are 7J.
Just have to see where they rub. :(
