front components

i have good sounds in my nova at the moment apart from the poor standard front speakers. Is the best option to put better speakers in the door panels or just replace the existing ones in the dash? :-/

do panels definately if you got elecy windows 6 x 9s will fit if not 13 cm squeeze in

errm, 6 x9s in the front....not the best option, definately get some 13cm components, or, if you take the door hinge thing off, you can get 6" or bigger i think

cheers guys, i was thinking about 6x9's cos i have electric windows, so there is room, but wont that make the panel vibrate like hell?

depends if running from amp or not, mine on the back shelf are running off a caliber amp and i've switched it so they don't produce bass- i let the sub do that.

i wasnt planning on running them through my amp could i stop the vibration with that sound deadening stuff?

would help to reinforce the door cards aswell with some MDF maybe, should be alright though if all the clips are in place on the door card

if u cant afford the dynamat (the sound deadening stuff) - try aquaseal flashing tape from B&Q - 10m roll costs ?5 - good results for 1/2 price. dont use 6x9 in front - get proper from speakers. Could try floor mounts rather than door ones - that way they are angled up at u - you;ll need to build pods though. Just an idea :)

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotamy!
