Ok guys ive got all the names togeather and it looks like we have quite a good bunch of people making the trip. Hopefully everyone is booked up for the ferry now, i am phoning the hotel tomorrow and reserving the rooms all you guys have to do is phone up and talk to Edgar and say you are in my group. You will have to leave your card details, but you do not pay anything until you leave.
There are 14 of us making the trip in our group, let alone all the evo boys! We are as follows
Karl + Andy Bishop
Chris + Charlotte
Ben Gunn + Passenger
Ben + Passenger
Keith + Passenger
Edd (my friend) + james
Adam M + passenger
So there we have it, team F*** YEAH part 2! We have everything from a tuned 1.3 up to a crazy spec 2L nova to a turbo mk1 astra.
Anyone else that wishes to join in contact me and i will help you out as much as i can. I only have 4 places left in the hotel that edgar can spare for our group, but he cant hold them for me.
If you want to take a look at the hotel you can see the website at www.pension-muehlenhardt.de. Trust me its mint!
Wait for me guys to text you before you contact the hotel, just so i can clear it with Edgar. Thanks
Karl

Thats my boat booked now.. For some odd reason its now ?50, whereas it quoted me ?60 a few days ago!! Still, its still gonna cost a fortune, as the boat to scotland is ?140!!
Cheers for getting the hotel sorted Karl! And good to see Edd's bringing the turbo Astra, i defo want a run out in that!! And in your nova!
My engines well on the way now, and should be finished in a few weeks.. yeehaa! Plenty of Loctite this time!
Keith
Cheers Karl.
Will hopefully know within the next 2-3 weeks what car im taking.
All booked up with Ad to come,
either taking my car or hopefully ads if it is done in time

Hi all
Sorry ive not been on in a few days, i am working 18 hour days to pay for the trip and to get the nova back on the road! I toasted pretty much all the running gear after last years track days si it needs a fair bit spent on it  But it WILL be ready.
Everyone is now booked up, though like you keith i have more people lined up. It will be a busy weekend as edgar said it is the last full weekend of the year.
Keith, i hope your mate in the evo is minted as it cost me a small fortune to go to the ring from birmingham in mine let alone NI! It really isnt an option for me to go in mine again, but ive done it once and thats all i wanted to do
Anyway, bring it on1 I am staying in now until september 15th so i really can enjoy myself
Speak to you all soon. Karl

No worries Neil, i really hope you will be able to make it mate. Word of warning though as soon as you know you will be able to go, enquire about your accomodation as edgar has told me it will be one of the busiest weekends of the year.
Hope you get the money togeather mate.

Damn work lol
Dont worry tho, i'm still going, work or no work! :)

Hiya All,
Just to let you know that Me & Michelle are also booked up for the Ring, big thanks to Karl for organising it, and along with Jonboy & Adam for the information about it too.
Ferry is all booked up, and I've just gotta call Edgars tomorrow to book our room (hopefully it's not fully booked...) ... just out of interest... what are we to do if it is fully booked?
Looking forward to meeting a few new faces, for those that don't know me, I drive this:

Good man Olly, See you there!
I'm just getting mine through MOT on wednesday, then all prep'd for the trip. A good RR setup and a few more miles on the new engine!
This should be a good trip, i hope you can handle your beer

I'm sure I'll manage the alcohol consumption :o
Mine went through MOT last week, failed on emissions, so wound the fuel pressure down to 2bar, and it flew through, so wound it back up to 3.5bar again
hehehe
nice one olly, I am looking forward to it, but I think I might need most parts re-building before the trip, and I have got 2 track days to get through lol
chris

Glad you are all sorted Olly, will pass any details onto you nearer the day.
Cant wait now, i am slowly rebuilding the nova to its former glory (big thanks to Mr Bishop for all his help and the use of his garage  ) The nova is starting to change a bit and it seems ive spent a fortune, but nothing too serious.
I will be testing my car at Trax, the week before the ring! :o What could possibly go wrong....
As for the beer, if its anything like last time :o we are in for some fun.
What are you planning on taking Ben?

Get it booked Mark, cancel the Rally GB :P What did it fail on? I hope i can scrape through on emissions, the new engines running 2 then Co2 and just under 600 on the hydrocarbs. Was 4 on Co2 and 1400 on Hydros until we pulled the timing back and tweeked the carbs.
Other than that, i just need to sort the back brakes from being so sharp, going to buy a willwood brake bias controller.
Keith

Karl
I hoping to take the Corsa V6 but atm its loking dubious, just need some sleepless nights to get it sorted.
Main problem is cant find the parts i need eg: want to fit some 3.0l cam's before i fit the engine but clever me sold some 3 weeks before i decided to take this on.
NovaBen
26-07-05, 10:27 PM
I cant wait to be back there either! Try and get some quicker times in as long as i get my engine sorted, not quite sure whats going on with it at the mo!
Oh, just to rub it in, i'm going to America next Wednesday for the whole of August, building and preparing Rally and Race cars with my uncle over there! Cannot wait at all.
Will be back in plenty of time for Trax though, and i've got another RR booked for when i come back, just to make sure she is running fine for Germany! I was contemplating taking my rally car to Germany instead, but we shall see.
Speak soon.

just do the saloon rear brake compensators Kieth. Youll have to re pipe your car front / back other wise.
Its failed on
no washer bottle
brake light out!!!!!!
headlight switch out of reach. (passed last year with the same bloke!!!)
Front goodridge brake hoses touch the wheels on full lock. Eh???? Fitted 2 years ago and passed last year!!!!.
Pretty small jobs really. It wouldnt be right if it didnt fail on something!!
As for the RING i bet your really jelous of me. Ill be chasing rallyGB all over wet miserable Wales. Sleeping 3 up in a Zafira GSI for 3 nights. Different but good fun. :D

Mine failed yesterday!! Play in front nearside bearing, and play in offside balljoint, very strange as they are new and i cant find any play in them lol. It also failed on one headlight being a little bit out, and the braided brake lines catching on full lock.
Re-test next saturday, not much to sort!

Hi Martin, as if i would hold it against you if the gearbox blows up. I am quite capable of blowing a normal gearbox up myself! Really appreciate you giving me the box mate  Its in the car now after a right game to get it in, and apart from a slight rattle when we first started it up all is good. Allso managed to bag andys new bad boy hubs and drive shafts for the trip over!
Really wish you could make the journey with us but maybe next year hey. Oh and we had better see you on track at silverstone! Fancy booking a session with me and beastie if you can make it?
Hi Keith, yes mate bring a helmet if you can as the ones they have are minging! Oh and i will keep you posted on track time, me and beastie are going to find an intresting group to go on with

Become a motor trader!
lol no you need to be able to prove that you turn over a minnimum of 8 cars a year which isnt hard have done about 14 in the last 6 weeks.
how can you prove it? send in a load of old V5's??
If they ask then you need to show reciepts for cars bought and sold etc.
Also need to keep them imformed loosely of cars in your possesion.
