My sister passed test in september 2004.

She was given 3 points and ?60 fine in december....

Then 3 weeks ago was pulled and was found to have bald tyres, she was told to get the car lifted and towed off the road and keep it off the road.

She was told she has been given another 3 points and ?60 for the bald tyres.

This means she?s had 6 points within first 2 years of driving.

She has sent off her pink full licence...

* Anyone know what she will have to do to get licence back?
* Does she have to redo the full test?
* Does she have to re-apply for a provisional?

yes you have to do everythin again as if you are just starting

including a provisional and maybee and extended test

when i passed mine was just theory and practical

have been driving too long now and too wary of other drivers/cyclists/pedestrians so would ust keep my finger pressed on the hazard button and fail!

I'd imagine your allowed up to 6 points.

Anything over that and she'll have to redo everything.

Maybe she should stick to walking :D

6 points means redoing everything again if its in the first 2 years unfortunately, know someone who it happened to.

I thought they gave you 3 points per tyre that was bald? Mate of mine had some pretty thin T1-S's on the front of his GTi6 (he drives like a tool anyway lol, the tyres lasted 6,000 miles and 5,500 of that was probably wheel spinning :roll: ) and a copper let him off but told him he'd need to change both pretty soon or face and extra 6 points on his license

i though you were allowed 6 points in the first 2 years i.e any more than the 6 an you would loe your licience

if you get 12 points after 2 years then its bye bye lisence, half of 12 is 6 so it makes sense to take it away when you hit the 6 point mark.
