Cheers dude for the quick reply and thats just what i wanted to hear! Jon
RWD Drift Slaaaaags!
S13 is 1.8T 170bhp, 0-60 in about 6.7 seconds
S14 and S14a are 2.0T 200bhp, 0-60 in about 7 - 7.5 seconds
I was considering getting an S14a but IMO they're too slow and all are a nightmare in the wet.
Cheap as chips tho, you can pick up a V reg S14a Touring for around ?5-6k!

yeh... have you tryed driving one?? the back end steps out too easy... you can't drive them safely fast.... why do u think the newer skylines are 4x4
insurance on 200's is silly money compared to similar grouped cars (17) because they're cheap so younger kids can afford to buy them and plant them sideways into hedges lol
they may as well put the headlights on the side.

Skyline had a 4x4 model since the R32 ste - alongside a rwd counterpart too. If you need to fall back on 4x4 to pull you out of trouble then you need to adjust your driving style to suit the car your in not just blame the drivetrain for the problems you encounter.
Phil
PS Yes i have driven one - first time in the rain and I was surprised how un-tailhappy it was!
id rather have a RWD high perf car than a 4wd variant. RWD is soooooo much more fun to drive, as you actually have to drive it, not let it drive you

sod that... my new car will have 400bhp+ and be made of fiberglass... 4x4 is a must
I must disagree with the 200sx not handling quotes above. My mate has one with 18's and race coilovers (only ?500) and that handles really well, it isnt always sideways but can be if you want. If you have driven one and it goes sideways all the time then you cant drive!

Having driven a 200sx I think the handling capably of the car are very good, you just need to know how to handle the car  .
I find the sx a little skittish on the rear end even when driving in a straight line, but you can still give them some welly around even the tightest of corners.
All in all an extremely well balanced car and not under powered to my amazement judging by the power to weight ratio 8) .
As for two wheel drive being more fun than 4wd, it a matter of taste, I know which one I prefer. The evo has been a handling sensation from driving it around local road to using it on track  .

Well the S13 is 170 bhp ish standard. Tuning bits are cheap as ships on ebay as well, can get a T7 turbo and manifold etc, for bout 500 dollar!! Bugger of an engine to work on though. Just got an engine an box for 320 squid thinking i could clean it up for my locost, but im not very good when it comes to engine. Complicated ones esp!! Still 170 bhp and less then half a ton. Should be good if i can fit it in!!! :D
