high temperature paint - but you need to fully degrease the block

Probably wont get it in matt though - more like satin or gloss...

Halfords or most 1/2 decent motor sport shops do it - spray and paint on.

Would you not be able to get a Matt lacquer? Doubt you can get it in high temp format though...

a place called larkspeed used to do all special paints for this job

tbh i did my rocker cover ans a few other bits in just standard spray paint and never had a problem

I've me rocker done in three or 4 layers of Plasticoat and its A1. I can get Matt black paint from work for old Ranges and stoves, ment to be good for 2000 degrees, should be plenty!! Whats the best way to be grease the engine? Gunk job?

Just looked, there seems to be a lot of oil at the back of my engine, below the Inlet manifold. Cheaked the oil level a few times and it looks grand, its definately fresh oil as well.

well most standard acrylic paint is rated to around 200c

and if the surface of the engine or cylinder head reaches 200c theres a serious problem with the engine so im pretty sure it'll be fine

the exhaust manifolds the only one that needs high temp paint
