someone tolf me that your best not having 6x9 and sub's at the back of your car... does anyone know whether this is b.s or is there an advantage not having them both....
btw i've just ordered 2 10" Sony 500w subs and the amp i'm looking at is the legacy ta680 which is 1000w so will it be about right for the subs
Cheers
i'd guess that the amp will be too powerful so dont wind the gain all the way up!!!
subs and 6x9's work well if you set em up right and put suitable bass blockers in line with the 6x9's

the amp will come very close to blowing the subs so be careful when fitting and first testing the system.

WTF, the amp will be NOWHERE near enough to blow them subs, the rms of that amp is about 200,
the rms of the amp is about 250 and the rms of the subs will be about 180 :p

lmao! there should be some sort of restriction where you are only allowed to advertise the TRUE rms value, not the fuckn watts (MPO),
i was playing with my new install in a big carpark the other nite (teesside park) and this arsehole came over and started talkn shit about his 10million watt clio,
he turn'd it up and hit about 90db and the sq was that poor at that volume you could hardly tell what song it was :p , so i let him know what 150+db is like (hope the little prick is deaf now!!!!)
DIN should be stated and nothing else!! that way everything can be matched properly

my corsa SRi system looks something like this
Pioneer DEH-P8400 (cd/mp3)
Pioneer DEQ-9200 equaliser/processer
2x JL Audio XR650-CS components
4x Kicker L7 12? subs (ported)
Phoenix Gold tantrum 600.4 amp (running components)
2x Pheonix Gold Tantrum 1200.1amps (running subs)
2x Lightning audio power caps
havin yer subs and 6x9's at the back of the car is best really cos they provide so much bass. Bass aint directional therefore it'll be heard equally all around the car. Whereas sound from mids/tweeters in the front/door pods will be heard best in the front and not so well in the rear
