oil pressure

hi all why does this happen:

when he starts the car the oil pressure sits on3/4mark, but once the engine has bn running for a bit, it will sit on red then the oil light will come on, he has changed oil filter, oil checked oil level all ok.


any ideas

thats defo running low on pressure

take the releif valve out and give it a clean

mine hits 5 bar at cold idle and drops to 3 bar once warm at idle

above about 4k its at 5bar and below that it sits at 4bar once its fully warmed up

did u prime the oil filter before fitting it?

releif valve? ?Where is tht!!!!

How do you mean prime the oil filter before fitting, run oil round the seal and fitted??? is tht wot u mean??

You prime the oil filter by pouring a little oil inside the filter befpre you stick it back on.

i have a similar problem but is in acelerating sometimes and curving the oil clock, gos down the pressure clock and sometimes its pouncing what can this be?
