i had a lot of wander on my old saloon and it was bottom ball joints

jack each corner up and feel for play

if theres none, take it out for a drive and use the brakes as little as possible, take it upto 60ish and let it slowdown by itself

once its stopped get out and feel the wheels/disks to see if one is hotter than the other which might indicate sticking calipers

I had similar symptoms a few years ago - turned out to be a knackered bottom ball joint.

I would probably change both ball joints on each side and whilst you are at it get the bushes changed for poly ones from the likes of Rally Design or Deflex.

This should sort out any wandering characteristics and help with the overall handling as well.
