Dooooney and me plugged the refference to the speaker cable from the rear left (splitting it in 2)and then the tweeters to the refference as seen in picture, thing is, rear speaker still sounds fine but tweeters barely sound if anything at all, should i connect the refference (and therefore the tweeters) straight into the amp?

easy!

disconnect the tweeters and then listen to the sound quality. then place the tweeters really close to the main cone, connect the tweeters and then listen to the sound quality.

hey presto the sound is better on the second trial (so long as the component set is not broken.

the reason that tweeters are quiet is because they dont need to be loud, they only really to the high pitch sounds and as high frequency sound is also high energy (getting quite into physics now) they only need to be quite to be just as effective as the other speakers.

just realised that your mounting it all on the parcel shelf! that could be a problem! it may be acting like a sub box! therefore increasing the volume of the larger speakeers, as most tweeters are fully enclosed so there would be little effect on their volume.

odd question but have you tried running the tweeters in parallel to one and other?

also if everything except the tweeters is connected to amps than obviously the poor little things will sound w**k, they are being drowned out!!!!

when we posted this, speakers and tweeters were connected to the standard car stereo, now we've connected both to the amp and get an excellent result! :D

yup, awsome sound, only thing missing which we'll do later today is putting 2 tweeters + another refference in the front
