ok , i respect the opinions of all on this forum , so please give me an idea of what make of 6x9s are decent. I,m running cheapies at the mo , and have taken a peek at what ebay have to offer , pioneer spx sony ( vibe would be nice but the plastics burning a hole in my wallet as you read this ) so i,m looking at around the 30 - 40 ( max ) bucks mark......

?40 will get you a set of Infinity Reference 9603i from Bassjunkies (I think its them that do the Infinities for ?40)... plus a couple of quid for postage, but they're worth it :wink:

the jbl ones on offer in motorworld are supprisingly pleasing! also if your starting an install go to motorworld as they are doing wicked deals on jbl amps with free speakers and woofers!

as its the styling forum though go for audiobahn or the pioneer accelerator series as they both look and sound good!

what ever you get you need a decent system to power them. your speakers are only as good as your head unit.

If you have a weak head unit (less than 40 watt output) then you may need an amp to really bring them alive.

I've got a JVC head unit with 45watt output but have also added a small 2 channel amp to run the rear speakers (Infinity's at ?99). The head unit runs the front (standard) units whilst the amp - run from the amp which runs from the nova battery.

Easy and the sound quality is superb - v loud. Its a start and for ?150 all in cheap at the time (got bought the lot from halfords as birthday pressie)

ade , cheers dude - i,m running a sony 220w mini amp (60 x 4 channels - plugs directly into your head unit and runs in tandem with the heads output ) so in reality 45x4 +55x4 =400w relly about 200/250ish.....its quite nice , but the cheapo 6x9s dont like it ( off to ebay ...)

as for pics of rears , i,m off rears at the mo - a mate lent me a " video " sometime back - a sexy bint was stripping off on a balcony ( wearing nowt but a pvc mini sussies n heels - she was a buxom lass n all )with a bloke taking snaps at her ....she bent over to reveal a wonderous rump and thong as the man snapped away - she stood up turned round and pulled the thong to oneside to reveal meat and two veg.......
