K guys, looking for advice. Read past posts bout front speakers but need opinions...
Got a set of kenwood 2 way 6&1/2" 140w speakers 4 birthday sound n look excellent but need best location in front. I have window windas so doors no good (getting leccys soon) Saw this build in gallery on Novaload (Billing Aquadome) which looks excellent - is sound good from there though? Don;t want them to get damaged either (big banana feet hitting them). Is the drivers side the same (accelerator pedal not too close?)

All help appreciated etc...

That is where i though of putting mine!

If you can angle them so it sound like the music is coming from in front of you then it sound better...apparently.

You could fit a chrome metal bar in front like they do on sub's so they won't get damaged...or just don't drive it and just sit there and listen!!!

i have rebuilt all my boot over the last few weeks and only need to cover it all up with new material i put my speakers in the doors that has not changed(6.5 inch eminence mini subs) the pods were a cow to do but worth it as the sound just wacks straight at you, from what i have read on the net this guy reckons the footwell is the best position for speakers, but then again he is american and prob' never seen a nova he is also a judge for the sound off competitions in the usa so knows his stuff

yep the footwell is the best place to put your components (in 85% of cars) and its true that you should try to face them towards your head (when in normal driving position) this will give you overall better soundstaging)

(again, excuse the typo im piss'd!!!!)

No ice at all? Not even factory fit?
I started off getting a decent head unit, and a set of 6X9's for the rear. That filled the car up a bit with not bad sound. I had 4 standard sperakers b4 mind. Then got cd player and just got a set of kenwoods for front (need to build pods though - see above). it all depends on what you want. Probably spent about ?400ish (including fitting of head n cd)
