Hi, ive seen a 8" JBL sub in a band-pass box, its rated 100 RMS and 200 max, its cheap 35 gbp aprox. but ive not much money to buy an amp so, could i use this sub with my head unit (4x30 max)?? bridging the rear channels ore something like that, ive a mate who bought a 6" sub in a tube and he had it wired directly to the head unit (i think his head unit had a sub output, mine doesnt have it) so is it possible??? would i need a filter too?

you would need a filter, BUT it would sound utter crap! your best off waiting till you can afford both a decent sub and amp. you will be much more pleased waiting for the quality

have never seen a head unit you can brige
you would need a filter
its would still be shite, you need more power than that to get a sub going.

There are some headunits you can bridge, i remember readind about them in the pioneer catalogue a while back, front two channels for speakers and bridging the rear channels for the sub with a built in filter in the headunit to allow the bass to flow, probably sounded crap, but then again it was on pioneers good stuff.
