right i have my JVC head unit and have 2 300w 6x9's just wondering because i want to wire in 2 subs would i need a amp? if so which would be best and where can i get the wiring siagrams as im not sure.

the only decent way to run the subs would be to buy an amp firstly ignore the max power rating of the subs as thats all bolloxs, finr the RMS rating of each one (it should be in the technicle specification)so you have a basis on what power out put the amp needs to have. the easiest option would be to go for a 4 channel amp that you could bridge into 2 channels, 1 for each sub.Remember the output for each channel should not exceed what the sub can handle or you can wave good buy to them. most instruction manuals for amps come with wiring diagrams on how to wire them up.When you buy your amp remember to get all the nessecery power and earth cabling as well as a sutibly rated fuse and holder to wire the amp to the battery plus your RCA cables to connect the head units pre outs to the amps inputs and a remote lead to switch it on.
