Hi guys
what can i use to clean a cylinder head i have? It isnt on my car, its a 1300 SR head i think and is a bit dirty. Obviously not inside but what can i do to get the outside cleaner?
Also are the exhaust ports on a 1300 and 1400 head the same shape?
cheers

I degrease them in the cleaning tank then strip them and bead blast them.
exhaust ports are the same
be V careful to avoid the ports/valve seats/combustion chamber though ;)
i have a totally fcuked head that someone kindly shot blasted all over lol

pop into your local machining engine shop and ask em
they'll prolly shove it in their cleaning tank for nowt and dip it or bead blast it for not much money
or u could bung it in the dishwasher, but i dunno how dishwasher tablets/powder would like the alloy its made from, might eat into it or summat so wait for other replys before going ahead with that one :P
