Start at the headunit, otherwise the signal still has to run through the crappy standard wire.. So it wont sound as clear as it could do..

Does that make sense??

yep, makes sense, thanks, but, how do i find which wires it is, and how do i get the wires out of the BIG plug thing that goes into me head unit?

you cant get em out of the plug. but you can solder em on as close as possible (thats what ive done). as for which is which, either test or get the wiring diagram for the headunit (i know sony provide them when you buy the headunit). Ive got nice 10AWG running to the back of the car and then a Neutrix connector and 12AWG to the speakers in the shelf

I had to buy that H/U connector thingy, I got mine from Halfords. I think it was about 3 or 4 quid. but it was so easy to wire up. it had the names on the wires and they were colour coded too...

Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
