how much for this install?

ive just bought a panasonic head unit and a set of pioneer 6X9s. and to be totally honest i know hardly anything about ice.i have the standard head unit and speakers in there at the moment. i was just wondering roughly how much it would cost me to get this professionally installed? ive been quoted ?70, is it me or is this a lot for what it is?i have considered doing it myself but as i said i know not much and wouldnt want to blow the head unit etc.
any help appreciated.

What ya wanna do is get 2 10" subs, make boxes outta 3/4 thick MDF, make sure they are well sealed (when the subs are in, if ya push it in it'll come slowly, the slower the better)and put thm into your boot anyway you like. The boxes MUST be one cubic foot to get the best sound. Me and a mate did my install and it sounds feckin amazin, and neither of us had a clue, but already we've got 3 ppl lookin for us to build theirs cos we did such a good job on mine.

If you do get 2 subs, you'd be best to create a false floor.

Main things
1) 10 subs require cubic foot boxes, (add 2 inches per measurement for 12inch)
2) Use MDF thats 3 quarter inch thick
3) Make sure the boxes are REALLY WELL sealed

the rest of the install design is you're own choice!

you can DIY very easily!
1: take out old headuni
2: fit wiring harness to loom and new headunit
3: put back in and fire her up
4: make a shelf for about ?25 for the 6x9's

this might sound really stupid but when you say "fit wiring harness to loom and new headunit" does it involve soldering or anything like that?

no all u do is go down halfords or sumthin then ask for the wiring kit for a panasonic head unit into a nova and theyll give u it then just plug it in and away u go. iv got 2 1200 infinty subs and 2 900w alpine amps and it shattered me back window and almost riped the boot open lol

the wiring harness should have come i the headunit box!!!!!!! its all plug and play FFS!!!
