Engine bay strengthening kit

Where can i buy an engine bay strengthening kit? I'm putting a gsi engine and want to strengthen the bay before the new engine goes in.

I know it has to be welded in, but not sure where i can get a hold of the kit. Anyone got one?

try giving harry hockly motorsport a ring mate, they are the main poeple who sell the sheets of metal you want.

to be honest you dont really need the plate kit for a 1600 unless you are actually going rallying.

just stitch weld the bay and you will be fine.

then again stu who actually sticks with the 1600, if hes planning on upgrading to the 2l in a few years as most people do he may aswell do it now

Yeah, there is that possability later on. So am i better off just getting the welder to make his own kit? I do remember PVD used to do one, but they are no more :x .
