can this be done,

i know about the fuel lines and tank ect: but what about the engine mounts do they all line up?

no you have to weld in new engine mounts

Better off leaving it as TD, they are rapid and the 17td is a straight swap. Plenty of power there mate.

I'm in the process of converting a 1.5 TD to X16XE. not as difficult as you might think with the exception of the wiring, if you can get hold of a complete petrol loom then its just a case of changing the tank, fuel lines, radiator and welding a drivers side engine mount on. Thats all i've come across so far
