i have a c20xe from a late calibra, (injection one)

my mechanic told me that i cant put carbs on it coz its an injection system....

is this true? is there no way at all i can put them on?

just dump the injection.it can be run on carbs .

Depends on whether its got a proper dizzy or a dizzy pack.
Proper dizzy means you can slap the carbs on, get them set up and your off.
Dizzy Pack means you need an ignition ecu in addition to the carbs.

The guys more clued-up to these engines on here might be of more help than my poor knowledge of these lumps.

even seeing what looks like a dizzy on the 2.0 xe isnt a sign that its easy to carb up. i belive you need the dizzy from a 1.6 cav (with a 2.0 advance setup in there aldon automotove supply those i believe) OR get a mappable ign ecu that will run off your existing sensors

dont put carbs put throtel bodys on it :P more power on it hahah
