View Full Version : system building
rite I hav myself a nice pioneer DEH6300R OEL cd player in me car,and now want to sort out a lil system, I fance some of those e-motion pioneer 6x9s,and I obviously want a sub and amp, but dont know where to go from there,I know I will need some serious speakers up front if I want it balanced, should I go for components or some high power speakers?-Im after a full pioneer install-just cos I like the build quality n styled, and its nice to cary a theme on-I want every note to be loud and clear,I dont just want bass

so i take it your after SQ then, if that is the case dont bother with 6x9's because they are a waste of time,
make sure you get a good set of components (dont bother with full range high power jobbies) also a good amp or alse you WILL regret it in the end then you will replace it costing more cash,
if you are desperate to stick to pioneer then so be it however there are other bits that are cheaper and better, my advice is start at the source and work backwaris ie,
-headunit
-components (make sure you get a good set)
-then amp+sub
after that you are looking at signal processors and dynamat ect
if you post a price range then it will be easier in what to suggest, remember tho just sticking to the same brand doesnt mean its gonna sound good
I know that, but I am trying to stick to a sorta theme by using the same brand stuff,my wiring etc is gonna be a different brand obviously. Components have crossovers dont they?-do they need their own power supply etc for these like an amp does?

bob- if you insist on sticking to the same brand then i would deffo recomend JL audio i used to have 2 10W7's and they really hit hard, let me know what price range you are looking to spend and i'll work something out for you,
I just brought a directed 500 amp. running 240watts rms through each component. sounds well mint. good quality and loud too. not bad for 239 pouds from caraudiodirect.com
I've just fitted Pioneer TS-E135 component speakers in the doors with some serious deadening and they sound great, tweeters mounted in the mirror covers.
Check out www.vaux-md.net and choose Nova-X then ICE to see some pictures
