Been getting alot of work done this week. Alot of stuff you cant really see but apart from bumpers and a few little bits its ready for driving.
Waiting on a helmet net / strut brace/ some other minor things.
Altho i think my thrust bearing has either ran dry or is on its way out. Not a major problem i suppose. Anyhow heres some pics.

And last bnut not least my track wheels that im going to be using with my slicks. Not bad looking to be honest. Had to check out the fitment and fuck me its tight ! With a 5 mm spacer i have around 2 mm clearance of the tie rod end knuckle joint! ouchy! heres how close it gets.

Thought about trailoring it. But i cant be arsed to be honest. It will be ready for use on the road shortly so not worried about getting it to pv.
In the garage i have a towbar waiting to be fitted to the rover funny enough. lol. My trailor needs brakes before it can go out. But its the fucking cost of them. As the 2nd axle needs 2 new hubs. arghh

Anyhow ta for the comments. ill get some engine bay shots up shortly

Bugger! Was looking forward to seeing all the hard work this weekend Chris, but as you say not worth rushing it just to get it too a show. Will be well worth the wait.

You thought about making the trip over to the ring with us in September? You car is now made for it

Couple more pictures of the whole car.
Starting to come together now. Few little problems such as grill and bumper alignment. Im using no carriage bar ect which is just causing the bumper not to sit right. If its not right after a few goes ill just leave it i think. Not to fussed about the nicey nice bits.
Anyhow heres a few shots of the whole car up to yet.

Just need to find a small window washer bottle and motor now . Helmet hammock for the rear and then a visit tot he body shop to have some edges cleaned up and should be ready for a bit of fun ! Mot/tax/insurance to look forward to unless i decide to trailer it to events rather than pay the ransom.

Well the day has finally arrived. Tried taxing the car the weekend but couldnt due to the log book not being up to date. Engine change ect. So i had to travel to brum at 9 Am this morning to a DVLA post office.
Finally the lady as the desk gave me my tax and i thought thank **** !

So finally its turned its first ever wheel on a public road! Thank the lord above. Sucessfull 10 minute test drive just round a few local roads. Conclusions . Firstly im not over happy with the driving postion. I may alter the steering rack at a later date and re weld the turret that holds it in place. Also the indicator blinker light stays on for some unknow reason but the indicators operate as normal. Possibly a earth issue! Apart from that that the wine of the straight cut box was a joy. And ive not quite hammerd it just yet but it felt so much more sturdy and solid on the road. Yet still lighter than the last shell.
I was that busy enjoying myself i fogot to re connect the rear lights and put the number plates on before i went out. lmfao! At least it had tax!!!!

Anyhow thought id share that with you as im happy its road worthy again. Still not finished but its on the road. !!!!! Wooooooo!!!!!
Cheers to all who have helped on this one! Lads at rifle range :)

Get some miles on it now and give it a good spanner checking before it does any seriously hard miles!!! :)
Heres a few pics anyhow!
