View Full Version : Old School meets Euro Spec.
Was thinking about ditching the speedlines in Favour of a set of 7x13 Alley Cats off me Dad's old Manta. Was going for Super Lights but god, they are dear!!
Will these fit on? I had 7x16's on the car before and they rubbed a bit but the 13's wont have as big a diameter, and tyre wise, i've 205's on the speedlines now. Will these fit or id the Manta the Wrong offset? Please dont let it be, please dont let it be.!!

manta is ET38 iirc and with 7" wide wheels its gonna stick out about 20mm more than a normal wheel and look totally gay imo
thats the euro style however so if thats what u want then go for it
No, i want it to fill the arch and no More,, No sticking out or rounding off arches. Just, low and Lairy, could i widen the whole square arch, ala wide arch kit but not as wide?
Its possible, but if its got to come out about 20mm thats quite a way to pull it out!

its illegal to have wheels that come out past the car body too.

i dont think they'll stick out as much as 20mm i had 205's on mine and they sat dead flush with the side of my car, although my arches would have caught on them if the suspension hadn't been the standard
[waits for everyone to moan]
u may need some 5mm spacers though [/waits for everyone to moan]
go for it!
i put some 5.5j 14 manta wheels on with std size tyres and they stuck out due to being a homo offset

easiest way to work it out:
a 6jx15 et49 vaux wheel sits at position X
dropping to ET35 moves the wheel out to X+14mm
making the wheel 1" wider means 0.5" per side more wheel, 0.5" = 13mm
so now we have X+14+13mm so thats 27mm further out than the standard wheel.
if u do those sums on your current wheels you'll get a figure u can measure against your wheel and see exactly how far outboard they will be
Yes Teacher!
Naw, i see what you're saying, but its wide 13's i want. Its more about the stance than anything. Might do more research, but still keen on the idea though.

then find some 6 or 6.5" 13's in ET49 and you'll be fine

MOAN MOAN MOAN lol!
My mates 205s on his SR sat flush with his arches, yet my 195s stuck out a fair bit as the offset was about as homo as Boy George in a gimp mask with a banana in one hand and a tube of KY in the other.
At least on a Nova you don't have to worry about finding wheels with a certain spoke design to fit over the front calipers... farking faff brakes lol
