sound deadening

Can som1 please tel me apart from the obvious what is the point ov sound deadning? we spend a fortune on I.C.E. 2 make some loud noise and then deaden it? thanx alot

you wanna hear the sound inside the car, not outside it. Also road noise is reduced with sound deadening. And pannel rattle is reduced/stopped with it, so it dosent sound like youve spent ?20 on ICE lol

If you want cheap sound deadening buy roof repair tape stuff. Can't remember exactly what it is for but its exactly the same as brown bread. Cost about ?4 for a huge roll. Its got tar like stuff with a metalic outer. on a roll about 5 inches high.
