hi all need some help, i need to run a bigger alternator on the nova, as the sounds sytem is killing it.


What is best:

Desiel battery and alternator
higher amp alternator.(will a cav,astra one fit???)


And where is the best place for these???

get the biggest battery that will fit in the tray (im using an omega 3.0 v6 one ~550cca's that was about ?50 from halfords)

get the biggest alternator u can find, aircon cavs have 120A ones usually, however it might have the wrong pulley (polyvee) on it so you'll need to remove the pulley from your standard alternaotr and fit it to the cav one if its got the wrong one

other options are corsas and astras with autoboxes as these have 100a alternators

just rememeber to get the mounting brackets as they sometimes differ (usually between bosch compact and the normal external fan designs)
