SPI Novas

Did vauxhall make MK2 3 door SPI (single point injection) novas or were they all 5 door.

Have located a new fuel tank that was bought for a 1992 3 door injection nova but as yet I don't know what nova it was for (SPI or MPI). I've been looking on a few websites like www.buypartsby.co.uk and they only list one tank for a 3 door nova for a 1992 car.

Yes they did make 3 door SPI's.

I am right in thinking the fuel tank is different for SRI's/GSI's compared with SPI injected cars like the SXI or have I missed something

yea its a different tank. The SRi/GTE/GSi tank had a swirlpot (for cornering) and an external fuel pump. The SPI tank had an internal pump, but this can be replaced with an MPi pump from say a mk3 astra.
