My mate was tellin me the other day that he read in a magazine that if you were to drill holes in the airbox and have a K&N replacment filter that it would be more effective than havin a K&N cone on instead !!
Anyone heard of this and is it true ?

Any feedback appreciated, Cheers

Yes.
As it with an induction kit you get a lot of hot air sucked in, decreasing power. The holes will suck in some hot air, but not as much as induction cone.
The holes will give an induction noise.

Just make sure you drill the holes BEFORE the filter panel

better to just increase the size of the hose which carries the air to the airbox, then no hot air gets in, would involve some carving of the airbox as well

As before drilled airbox is much better than a cone style filter. make sure you drill plenty of holes, the more the better.
